Wild Turkey

Wild Turkey cross our front yard all the time. They like to roost at Den’s Camp where the mature maples are. Julie even found a nest of hatched turkey eggs on the trail that leads from the cabin to The Bottoms.

Ben Franklin promoted making the Wild Turkey the the national bird instead of the Bald Eagle.

Wild Turkey is also the name of a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey.
